Mealtimes are often a top priority for travel enthusiasts, offering the perfect excuse to branch out and enjoy new foods that you might not find at home. While Fort Lauderdale has more than its fair share of fish for seafood lovers, the city also has an established roster of renowned chefs spinning up a variety of culinary delights.
Locally sourcing ingredients, commonly referred to as "farm to table", has grown in popularity throughout the United States over the past few years. While some local chefs have made efforts to conquer this feat by incorporating elements of local sourcing here and there, Market 17 has really brought the concept to the fore in Fort Lauderdale. Here you'll find a menu that constantly changes (almost daily) based on seasonal availability, serving some of the freshest entrees in the area. For the foodie adventurer, Market 17 also offers a ‘Dining in the Dark’ experience on weekends only, designed to heighten the senses.

Step into a romantic Mediterranean-inspired seaside eatery at Casablanca Café. The open-air restaurant gives guests the option of indoor or patio dining while experiencing the sounds of the ocean and live entertainment from the piano bar. The kitchen serves an array of prime beef and seafood dishes, but if you’re a steak fan, the petite filet mignon, garnished with a Gorgonzola sauce and granny smith apples, is a sure homerun.

Guests also get to look down on a large ‘pool’ of live fish swimming just beneath the restaurant.

Serving up giant, stuffed sandwiches since the 1930s, taking a trip to Primanti Bros. is a Fort Lauderdale must. The family business is based in Pittsburgh with 20+ locations, but has recently expanded their reach to the southern region of our very own Fort Lauderdale beaches. A treat for locals and visitors alike, there’s nothing like a Primanti Bros. sandwich, stuffed to the brim with french fries, coleslaw, and all the trimmings.
