Tobago is famous for many things: its fabulous shores – perfect for all kinds of water sports, its musical history, and its pristine coral reefs. Each of these videos aims to capture a side to this vibrant Caribbean Island, and we think they succeed admirably.
"Tobago Carnival Regatta" by Slater Productions
The annual Tobago Carnival Regatta, held in February, is captured in this short video. Numerous classes of boats, windsurfers and kite boarders compete at this Festival of Wind, which is a highlight for locals and competitors alike.
"Tobago" by Jarek
Jacques Cousteau famously dived around Tobago, where some of the Caribbean’s most pristine coral can be found. This video takes us underwater to see some of it, as well as the various kinds of fish and creatures that can be found there. Oh, and anyone for lobster?
"Radical Sports Tobago 2011" by brett
We love Tobago for its perfect windsurfing waters and weather, and this video by Radical Sports Ltd demonstrates why. The pros take to the water and we really admire how easy they make it seem.
"Tobago // 11" by Jon Gustavson
Tobago is unsurprisingly popular with tourists, and this video captures not only those seeking warmer climes, but also some great shots of the local Tobagonians. Look out for the steel drums, too – the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago is where these instruments originate.
Jonas Rathsman - Tobago by Jesper Bolmen
This music video was set in Tobago and features the music of Jonas Rathsman, the now-famous Swedish DJ whose tunes really get us going. As well as seeing the island’s the superb beaches, we love the way the camera takes us inland and shows us the forests, waterfalls and some of daily Tobago life.
