In the latest of our Experience This posts - the best adventures, activities and one-off happenings in our destinations - we're staying at home in London to take a peek inside the brand new, Limited Editon Saatchi Gallery Suite which has just opened inside the Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, a hotel whose relationship with the world of contemporary art is already well-established through its longstanding partnership with the annual Frieze Art Fair.

A new partnership with the Saatchi Gallery, renowned for introducing new contemporary art works to the world, has led to the creation of a new exhibition, One Giant Leap - the first of three this year - which is currently taking place throughout the hotel's lobby and Montagu restaurant. Highlights include Christina Mackie's life-size hippo and Martin Honert's Riesen, a gargantuan sculpture of two bearded giants, each close to three metres tall and fastidiously rendered.

The ability to interact with these works of art outside of the usual gallery environment is something of a coup in itself, but for those who want to experience contemporary art in a space unlike any other in London, the hotel has converted one of its Regency suites into a Limited Edition Saatchi Gallery Suite, available to book until 30 April 2012. For art aficionados around the world, or those just looking for a unique one-off hotel stay, this is a chance to live with contemporary art in an unusually intimate setting and sleep amongst pieces by internationally recognised names as well as emerging artists whose works have not yet even been on display at the Saatchi Gallery.

Among the art works in the suite's living room are two three-dimensional works, Robin Cho's interactive knocking door, We know this but we just don't know how to show it and Steve Bishop's Jean-Paul Gaultier - Classique (Arctic Fox), a sculpture which combines paint and concrete inspired by the classic Gaultier perfume bottle with a taxidermied fox.

Just beyond in the luxury bathroom, young French artist Celine Fitoussi's wonderfully tactile wall-to-wall soap installation is a sensory masterstroke, while the suite's separate loo has an entirely different tone with a spray-paint-doctored poster of a bikini-clad Claudia Schiffer by London-based artist Simon Bedwell and Hadrian Piggott's Slip it to Me, an unusable 18-inch bar of soap.

In addition to the art works, the suite is lit and furnished by a collection of classic lamps and timeless furniture designs from the Republic of Fritz Hansen, including Arne Jacobsen's Egg and Swan chairs, originally designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1958.

The Limited Edition Saatchi Gallery Suite is available to book until 30 April 2012, subject to availability.
